How to install in VS Code
- Download the
.vsixfor your operating system above. - Open VS Code.
- Open the Extensions panel — Cmd+Shift+X (macOS) or Ctrl+Shift+X (Windows / Linux).
- Click the
⋯menu at the top-right of the panel → Install from VSIX… - Select the downloaded
.vsixfile. - Reload VS Code when prompted.

After installing
- Open the PCI DSS Scanner panel in the Explorer sidebar.
- Click Sign In to PCI DSS Scanner — your browser opens the login page; sign in and VS Code updates automatically.
- Run 🔍 Local Scan (regex + AST, offline) or ☁ AI Powered Scan (uploads workspace, deleted right after) from the Report tab.
- Findings appear as inline squiggles and in the sidebar report; open the History tab to reload past scans.
